A lot has been going on in the film industry, and according to a report from KPopStarz, MoviePilot
has pointed out that director Ridley Scott has placed Easter eggs on
the first movie that told clues about what the upcoming prequel will
bring.
Among these Easter Eggs are the matching interface of "Alien"
spaceship, as well as the cars on "Blade Runner and Weyland (Guy Pierce)
referencing Tyrell as the competitor who lived in a "pyramid
overlooking a city of angels."
Prometheus 2 is filled with possibilities, and the website pointed
out, "Perhaps the Blade Runner chases a David 8 (Michael Fassbender) to
whatever planet he and Elizabeth are going to. While the Blade Runner is
hunting David 8 he could get caught up in a battle with the
Xenomorphs."
That seems to be a good idea.
A lot of news sites, blogs, and online communities have been
clamoring for a "Prometheus" sequel, but Scott remains to be mum about
the topic. On the other hand, "X-Men: Days of Future Past" star, Michael
Fassbender, has confirmed the sequel during the promotion of his mutant
hero movie. When production will begin is another thing altogether.
But would the X-Men star be okay with working with Ridley Scott?
"For sure. I love Ridley, he's a master filmmaker," Fassbender beamed.
A plot summary from comingsoon.net
read, "Stars Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace are both contracted to
reprise their roles of David and Elizabeth Shaw, respectively. The
original film, a quasi-prequel to Scott's 1979 "Alien," saw a team of
scientists and explorers embarking on a journey to a distant world,
where they discovered the answers to some of humanity's most profound
questions."
Seems like the "Alien" sub-plot isn't too far off.
As if that's enough geek rumors, Microsoft also announced during the
Electronic Entertainment Expo that "Halo: Nightfall" is scheduled to be
released on November 11. It is being co-produced by Scott Free TV and
343 Industries and is purposefully made to connect the past with the
future in Halo Universe.
Bonnie Ross from 343 Industries said, "Nightfall will be packaged as
part of a collection that will include all four previously-released Halo
games. The digital feature is meant to bridge the gap between past Halo
installments, which feature Master Chief as their protagonist, and Halo
5, which will feature a new hero."
Penned by Michael Green and Jack Paglen, Ridley Scott's "Prometheus 2" is slated to be released on March 4, 2016.
